A note on the layout: The two pictures of Gavroche used are by Marine d'Antibes, who does fantastic illustrations but on whom I have been unable to gather much information via the Internet. (They are scanned from a Chinese-language translation of the Gavroche bits of Les Miserables collected for children (called "Gu Xing Lei" or something, which is an alternative to "Bei Can Shi Jie") that I chanced upon in a public library some years ago.) If you can provide me with more information about this illustrator, do tell me more!

Playhouse 2006 - Pirates of the South China Sea

At Thursday's rehearsal


All of us agreed that our class guys fell into their roles as rowdy, smelly, crotch-scratching pirates so effortlessly it was scary :D

Great job everyone who was involved in any way - the props, the costumes, the lights and sound (which were all brilliant) - the magnificent CAST... the funniest sea-monster ever (with a spectacular scene!) and a big cheer for Amanda this year's Playhouse I/C who did a marvellous job at spearheading the whole effort :). AND WE WON BEST PLAY!!! M3 POWER!!!! :) I'm so proud of our class!

I only took a few photos (from the emcees' seats right at the front - a bad angle) because my camera had limited space...















After this Ouyang (whose character had been killed) came and started taking photos so I left the rest to him :) I hope he got close-ups of the cast - it was fantastic!
